Yes, Spinal Flow is safe for everyone, as there are no contraindications to receiving treatments. However, it’s important to understand that as your body releases layers of physical, chemical, and emotional stress, you might experience temporary discomfort, such as aches, pains, or emotional releases. This is known as a healing crisis—a sign your body is working through stored tension and stress. During this time, treat yourself gently, stay hydrated, and trust in the healing process.
Spinal Flow is unique and distinct from other healing modalities:
Spinal Flow, by contrast, works with the life force energy already within your body. It uses gentle pressure on specific points of the spine—such as the sacrum, sphenoid, or occasionally the coccyx. There’s no physical manipulation; instead, the goal is to restore the natural flow of energy in your nervous system.
Please wear loose, thin clothing to your session. This allows the practitioner to easily access areas like the sacrum through your clothing. Avoid thick seams, waistbands, or fabrics such as denim that may make the work more difficult.
Step 1: Initial Appointment
Your first session begins with a gateway and posture assessment, including “before” photos. Together, we’ll review your intake form and discuss how Spinal Flow aligns with your wellness goals. From here, we’ll create a tailored service plan and book subsequent sessions before beginning your first Spinal Flow treatment.
Step 2: Spinal Flow Sessions
During a session (lasting about 30 minutes), you’ll lie face-down on a massage table while the practitioner gently works with specific access points along your spine, such as the sacrum and sphenoid. Sacral bolsters may be used to help open and support the pelvis. Techniques may include gentle touch on the pelvis, hamstrings, and feet, or light brushing along the spine to encourage energy flow. Your role is to stay present in your body—breathing, moving as needed, and allowing the process to unfold.
Step 3: Reassessment
After completing 12 sessions, we’ll reassess your progress with another gateway and posture assessment, including “after” photos. Based on your results, future sessions can be spaced out appropriately. Regular sessions help maintain progress and support your ongoing wellness journey. Reassessments are recommended approximately every 12 sessions.
While you’re welcome to try a single session, Spinal Flow is most effective as a consistent practice. The results are powerful yet subtle, and long-term change requires commitment. We recommend starting with a plan of 12 sessions, 2–4 times per week, over a few consecutive weeks. This helps your body transition from fight-or-flight mode to rest-and-heal mode.
To support this commitment, we offer discounts for pre-booking multiple sessions. Please inquire about package rates for more details.
